Aesthetic Meriden Reticulated Pierced Sterling Asparagus Tray 1890

Estate Fresh  RARE Aesthetic Meriden Sterling 3 dimensional Asparagus tray with a lovely pierced table.. The tray itself is supported by 4 wonderfully detailed Asparagus stalks!  I have never run across a piece like this before.  Would look magnificent on a plain white under plate. The tray itself is pierced with a styli floral pattern .  No monograms The height of the piece is 2.5 inches tall, with a length of 7.5 inches and width of 6.5 inches. Its weight is 300 grams. One of the Asparagus "legs" does splay out a bit, a silversmith could correct this and there is some residual tarnish.  The piece does sit flat.
