RS Prussia china oval serving bowl bun tray Steeple Mold 3 painted chrysanthemum

Description

Offered is this lovely unmarked RS Prussia oval bowl, also called a bun tray, made in Germany in the early 1900s. The blank is Steeple Mold 3. The center is decorated with painted chrysanthemums in purple and gold.
The rim is pastel pink with embossed flowers in pastel blue with pale yellow centers.
This piece, with a different décor, is pictured on page 123 of Leland and Carol Marple’s reference book “R.S. Prussia: The Art Nouveau Years.”
The tray features cutout handles on both ends.
Gold trim highlights many elements of the design.
The bowl measures 12.5 inches long (32 cm) and 8 inches wide (20.5 cm). It stands 2 inches high (5 cm).
This piece is in very good condition for its years. No chips or cracks. Gold trim in very good condition.
