Kirk & Son Co. extremely ornate, substantial, sterling silver cake and cookie platter, 10" in diameter, which glows with excellent, sharply defined and highly polished sterling silver.  It weighs 398.2 grams.  This piece has a round, large platform foot.  It bears the S. Kirk & Son Co manufacturer's stamp and sterling stamps.
The decoration of this platter is unusual, even for S. Kirk.  The design work is finer and has more foliage and a different variety of highly defined flowers than is usually found.  The monogram is flowing script and very beautiful, adding elegance.
This gorgeous platter can decorate any buffet or occasional table when not in use.  It is highly decorative.
