Wonderful Large R S Tillowitz Double Parrot & Grape Pitcher!! A+ Condition!

Up for this Auction and your consideration is this Lovely Large RS Tillowitz Pitcher in Excellent Condition! It has a Double Parrot Design and Grape Design on both sides of the piece. This is all hand painted and slightly raised, you can feel that with your finger tips. The top rim is painted in gold with a black scroll design, inside of handle is gold. The parrots are Gold With some Orange in their faces. They are perched upon the grapevine with clusters of grapes and grape leaves. It has a light irridescent glaze on it. Not small,.....5 inches tall, body size is 6.5 inches in diameter, and from tip of spout to tip of handle 9 inches. I find NO Chips-Cracks or Hairlines in this piece and rings like a bell when tapped with your finger.
It has the Blue Star RS Tillowitz mark on bottom, and is mark #30 in the Book I have on RS Prussia, Second Series by Mary Frank Gaston. According to her book this mark was used from 1930 to 1940. It was hand painted by someone and has their monogram on the bottom as well. Looks like S T J, maybe,....can't be sure. It is so nicely done and attractive, and
seems to be done by a fairly skilled china painter.
